What are the Symptoms of Swine Flu

People with the swine flu exhibit the same symptoms as those with the seasonal flu, the febrile contagious viral disease influenza.

Medical Symptoms

After an incubation period of one to two days, Patients with swine flu may exhibit the following medical symptoms:

  • Muscle pain throughout the body and back.
  • Sore throat with a headache.
  • A dry cough.
  • An increase of body temperature up to 105° degrees Fahrenheit. (41° centigrade)
  • Runny nose.
  • Difficulty in breathing.
  • Physical exhaustion and fatigue.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • In rare cases, patients may experience diarrhea and vomiting.

H1N1 Flu Symptoms

The process in which the H1N1 Flu passes by degrees to different stages will vary depending on the individual. As the H1N1 Flu is a new virus, Health Encyclopedia cannot indicate conclusively how the virus will develop. Often, H1N1 Flu Symptoms may persist a week or more.
